Since 2013, The Conjuring universe has been the only popular horror film universe and the story continues to be developed.
For those of you who are interested in watching, here’s the sequence of The Conjuring universe:
1. The Nun (2018)
This character first appeared in The Conjuring 2, although he is not the main villain. In The Nun, the story of Valak is explored further, and we are invited to visit an old church in Romania in 1952.
The horror and spiritual journey at The Nun begin with Sister Irene, who, together with Pastor Burke, visits Romania after a series of mysterious events at the monastery. Their arrival turned out to be unwanted by creatures from other worlds who already controlled the place.
2. Annabelle: Creation (2017)
Apart from Valak, who doesn’t know a doll demon named Annabelle? A spooky figure with empty eyes who seems to always follow and haunt anyone who is attracted to him and frees him from a cupboard full of holy verses.
Annabelle: Creation is actually the second film from Annabelle (2014), after the first appearance of this doll in The Conjuring (2013). In this film, we are transported to 1955, when the first Annabelle doll was created, and we learn who the demon that possessed her is.
3. Annabelle (2014)
The demon that possessed the Annabelle doll then moved on to a married couple who had just given birth to their child. In the first The Conjuring spin-off film, this was a bridge film before finally the Annabelle doll was brought home and locked in the residence of Ed and Lorraine Warren.
4. The Conjuring (2013)
The game of hide-and-seek with hand clapping becomes iconic and scary in this film. There are terrifying ghosts appearing in the opening film of The Conjuring universe.
5. Annabelle Comes Home (2019)
Annabelle Comes Home opens with the scene of the doll being brought back to Warren’s house. There are wayward teenagers skeptical of supernatural beings who are idly opening cupboard locks. 6. The Curse of La Llorona (2019)
In the sequel to The Conjuring, a character named Pastor Perez appears. Then this film is the link between the stories. The Curse of La Llorona has a connection with the demon that is in the Annabelle doll.
7. The Conjuring 2 (2016)
Followed by the film The Conjuring 2, where Ed and Lorraine Warren were touched by the story of a family in England who was possessed. The children in the film experience terrible things in their home. The Conjuring 2 is the best-selling horror film after The Exorcist.
8. The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It
And finally, the third film, these are extraordinary events that shocked Ed and Lorraine Warren. The case shown in this film is the first murder in the United States.
